Through my own journey and experiences as a parent, I understand that for some children, meeting new people and new situations can feel scary and overwhelming, that’s why we offer bespoke sessions that are perfectly tailored for you and your family.
It was through these experiences that I became a certified tutor, trainer, and compassionate specialist in teaching mindfulness skills and healing meditations to children/teens of all abilities, including SEN, Autism or ADHD. I have over 7 years of experience working with children and families in groups, individual 1-2-1 sessions, and in schools.
Social media, friendships, bullying, and peer pressure are just a few of the stresses faced by young people today. If they are not able to process these emotions, they can start to feel increasingly overwhelmed, anxious, and stressed.
We provide practical support and information on the healing benefits of mindfulness and meditation for children who are struggling with anxiety, stress or trauma. Teaching these simple mindfulness techniques can help enhance their mental, physical and emotional well-being – boosting confidence, resilience, focus & concentration and raising self-esteem, to help them cope with life’s challenges.
Our sessions are intuitively designed based on the specific needs of your child and are packed with enriching mindful activities and healing meditations, designed to help them create their unique ‘mindfulness toolbox’ to access at any time.
Practising how to work with their breath and the movement of their bodies creates the space and opportunity to process their thoughts and feelings when they occur, rather than further down the line, where they can often appear as anger, anxiety or stress. We can also focus on specific areas e.g., letting go of worries, manage anxiety, and help with sleeping.
We use proven mindfulness techniques and tools to deliver amazing results, but with the understanding that every child/teen is unique, and where the healing benefits are felt by the whole family.
A moving meditation e.g., walking, running, or skipping can help children in various ways.
Focus and Concentration
Children can feel anxious and stressed for a variety of different reasons. Meditation and mindfulness skills bring their awareness to these feelings, helping to process and release them in a more mindful way.
Developing a regular practice helps the mind and body.
Young people with low self-esteem may feel bad about themselves or think they are not good enough. By practicing mindfulness and meditation skills, they become aware that they have a choice in how they respond on the inside, to whatever happens on the outside. This awareness of choices and responses helps build their sense of self-esteem.
You will have a short preliminary call with us to talk about your concerns, what difficulties your child is having, and how we help and support you. We can decide on a one-off coaching session, or a series of sessions, as well as discussing the most suitable time/place and format for the sessions.
We want to give your child a positive and happy experience in our sessions and we do this by meeting them ‘where they’re at’ through games and activities, or just listening.
Our bespoke service is as individual as your child is, helping achieve the best possible outcome for you and your family.
In the event of Coronavirus restrictions being introduced, your child displays symptoms pre-class, or there is an enforced cancellation of travel or lockdown due to UK and Scotland-wide restrictions. We will honour a full refund or the option to transfer to a later date with no transfer fees, on any booking made for our Children's Mindfulness and Meditation class.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
